Puppy Love can come to you!
Contact us to arrange for a demonstation at your school, business or event. A small donation is appreciated.
Donate Supplies – Basic supplies are always needed for the care and training of puppies and dogs in our program. Donating supplies, or sending us gift certificates to pet supply stores, are great ways to support Puppy Love. Some of the items needed are: kennels of all kinds and sizes, leashes (4 ft. or 6 ft.), collars, bowls, dog shampoo, brushes/combs, puppy and adult dog food (approved brands), & chew toys.
Be A Puppy Raiser- Consider making the commitment to raise and train a dog in the program. Training a hearing dog may take 6 months while training a service dog may take 2-3 years. Puppy Love will support and assist you throughout the training period. Short term foster homes are also needed. Call or email us and we’ll send you an application.
Donate Services– We can certainly use your time and talents! Here are some examples of services our volunteers and clients need on an ongoing basis: Veterinary Clinics: exams, vaccinations, medications, X-rays (hip/elbow), micro-chipping, and spay/neuter surgery. Groomers: bathing and grooming dogs in the program is never ending! Printers: stationary with letterhead, brochures, post cards and mailings for fundraisers. Grant Writers – help us obtain the dollars necessary to continue our mission. Fundraising – we have one fundraiser each year. We call it the Wag-N-Wheel. Be on the planning committee, distribute flyers, help the day of the event or donate items for a raffle.
Donate Money – financial gifts help defray the cost of raising and training the Assistance dogs in the program.
We are a non-profit, so your gift is tax deductible.
You can mail us a donation or simply go to our web site and use PayPal.
Donate a Dog – Puppy love gratefully accepts puppies (8 weeks to 6 months of age) from breeders or homes that have a history of the parents. We prefer to have both parents cleared for hip dysplasia.
Sew Capes – dogs in the program generally wear capes when they are out in a public setting. These capes identify the name of the organization as well as a “please do not pet” patch. We need talented people to sew the capes and apply the patches!
